A New Voice on Diamond Mountain

Diamond Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon

Younger vines, small-lot precision, and a bolder frame — crafted for now and later.

Diamond Mountain Estate

Decree Cabernet Sauvignon

Same hillside as Voir Dire—more fruit-forward, a touch plusher, and ready to enjoy.

Born a decade into the project, Decree Cabernet Sauvignon is our newest voice from Diamond Mountain. It grows right alongside Voir Dire on the same sunlit slope, but speaks with a different impressive voice—ripe black fruit, polished tannins, and a little extra silk from carefully chosen French oak. We harvest in small passes, keep things separate until the end, and blend with restraint so the site leads.

The result is a Diamond Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon that feels both unmistakably mountain and instantly welcoming—the bottle that makes a statement at a celebration or your dinner table.

Black Cherry. Blackberry. Espresso. Sage.

In the glass: black cherry, ripe blackberry, and a hint of brown sugar, then with violet, warm earth, espresso, and graphite. The palate is elegant yet structured—bright acidity lighting up layered fruit and fine mountain tannins. Delicious on release with a short decant, Decree Diamond Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon will hit its prime over the next 3–8 years as the savory notes deepen.

“It makes a statement the moment you pull the cork.” —Jason Itkin, Founder

“Decree is the drinker—you crack it on a Thursday and it still screams Diamond Mountain.”
— Andy Jones, Winemaker

Tasting Notes

Decree

Decree is Theorem's estate Cabernet Sauvignon from the Diamond Mountain District AVA above Calistoga — grown on the same hillside as Voir Dire, in one of Napa Valley's smallest appellations, defined by volcanic rock, mountain elevation, and the long discussion between fruit and structure.
